Facilities & Environment
The custodian of the physical plant: every tank, sump, watt, litre, and pascal that keeps the GreenSky Breeding Station standing, sealed, and wet. Facilities owns the building envelope, the system rooms across fresh, brackish, and saltwater, the power and water plant, and the biosecurity zoning that separates a thriving collection from a wipe-out.
Mission
Facilities & Environment exists to guarantee that the built environment never becomes the weak link in life-support. We deliver the structure, water, power, atmosphere, and access control that Breeding and husbandry depend on to keep live stock alive and the restricted fraction of it sealed behind a pressure cascade. Where the AquaLink mesh owns the sensors and the alarms, Facilities owns the plant those sensors watch — the pumps, skimmers, chillers, RO trains, and gaskets that fail loudly if we do not maintain them. Nothing here is decorative. The Abyssal Holding walls are rated, the cascade is measured, and the standby chiller for the cold-water systems is tested every week.

Facilities Functions Register
Facilities is organized into six standing functions, each with a named lead reporting to the Facilities Manager and a defined authority ceiling for work inside graded biosecurity tiers.

| Structure & Building Envelope | FAC-STR | Sr. Eng. R. Halvard | Load-bearing structure, tank stands, bunding, flood compartmentation, roof & glazing of the Conservatory. | Open → Quarantine | ● Nominal |
| Aquatic Systems Plant | FAC-SYS | Systems Eng. M. Okafor | Sumps, racks, manifolds, filtration, skimming, UV/ozone, chillers/heaters across fresh/brackish/salt. | Open → Quarantine | ● 340/345 loops |
| Utilities · Power & Water | FAC-UTL | Plant Eng. T. Saito | Generation, distribution, UPS/genset, RO & seawater make-up, mixing reservoirs, autonomy. | Open → Restricted (escort) | ● Green |
| Biosecurity Zoning | FAC-BSZ | Containment Arch. L. Voss | Tier zoning, footbaths, quarantine isolation, the Abyssal pressure cascade, invasive & pathogen control. | Open → Restricted | ● Sealed |
| Fleet Dock & Stock Transfer | FAC-DCK | Dockmaster K. Renn | Vessel berths, haul-out, live-stock transfer, ballast & bilge biosecurity, dispatch bay. | Open → Quarantine | ◐ Berth 3 in PM |

The GreenSky Breeding Station
The Station is a partly-submerged coastal hub of 24,800 m² of built footprint arranged around a central Water Prep & Reservoir hall from which every system draws. Husbandry zones radiate outward by salinity — freshwater halls to landward, the saltwater Reef Conservatory seaward under a 22 m daylight roof — and the restricted Abyssal Holding wing is buried at the cold, dark heart of the building under a pressure-cascade. Beyond the hub, the Fleet Dock & Dispatch handles vessels and live transfers, and two drifting Gyre Stations (Pacific & Atlantic) extend the operation onto the open ocean under their own solar/wave power.
24,800 m²
Built area of the hub, dock, and Conservatory. ~14,400 m² of that is wetted system room; balance is plant, circulation, and containment.
Bunded Wet Shell
Every system room is fully bunded to a 110% spill volume and drains to monitored sumps — a flood isolates, it never spreads.
Abyssal Holding (Restricted)
Buried pressure-cascade wing for deep, cold, and high-value stock under independent power, chilling, and the two-person rule.
